I have been busy working and finishing up one outfit, but I decided to get last-minute armor made for the new Shredder helmet. We needed to have the Shredder armor this past weekend for the first of many events this month. It turned out really well, and I’m really excited to do my Lady Shredder outfit.
This past weekend, we had the honor of being invited to CosAwesome Studio‘s annual Superhero Halloween Party! I love the chance to be in a group of like-minded people when it is not in a convention setting. You get to see and visit with people in real life that you follow on Facebook or see briefly at a con. We also got to hang out with a great Chicago-based photographer, Ronald Ladao (Mr. Oreo), who had set up a small photography studio at the event.
The little girl that I made the poodle skirt and saddle shoes for was overjoyed with her outfit, and she was a hit at Grandparent’s Day. I was glad I could make the day special for her and her grandparents.
Now I’ve got to hurry up and get my Christmas Harley Quinn dress done for Starbase Indy so that I can get a couple’s cosplay done for the same con. This one is going to be a surprise!
I’m also all ready for Kokomo Con on October 24th. I’ll be sharing a booth with Gear Head Cosplay. We will be selling prints at our booth, so be sure to stop by and check them out. Don’t forget that you can also order prints online! If you plan on attending Kokomo Con, be sure to stop by and get a piece of candy!
